One you get the basics dow(but remember the most important part of CG illustration is modeling and how to unwrap it correctly, they are again the most important things in the 3d world). To make it better you can always download the LuxRender engine to make it more photorealistic. You can definitely start with Blender, yes it is a free software but you can still create professional work, whether images or animation. Hey TRoutMac, i did not finish reading the whole responses for your question, but i'll give you my part of the answer. ![]() And I would advice you to download the trials and try them one at a time, only this way you will manage to learn them deep enough during the trial period to objectively appreciate their tools. Only then you will really be able to decide. the problem is there's a case made for each product here! I cant decideĪctually you can download a demo and try it yourself. In general I think that if they will make the animation tools as good and smart as the modeling tools they implemented, then modo will be a very strong software competing with 3ds Max, Maya and Softimage. They have announced more animation tools in modo 4 but I didn't check them out yet. But LightWave 3d and Cinema 4d are mature animation packages, they have a lot of professional animation tools which modo 301 doesn't, animation in modo 301 is very basic. It is perfect for creating ingame characters, baking the textures and so on. It also has very strong 3d modeling and texturing as well as rendering tools. Regarding the interface you are right modo interface is one of the best out there. The interface just beats the snot out of Lightwave. I like the interface and the way some of the tools work. If you were to combine Lightwave and Cinema 4D, I think Modo is what you get. Will I be likely to kick myself for not getting Lightwave? Any 'objective' comparisons between the programs would be MUCH appreciated. I'd appreciate any input on this decision. (though it's not as bad as LW) I don't find any online tutorials (not for free, anyway) that'll help me at least get acquainted with the software and the user guide PDF that I downloaded was, well, pathetic. It looks like it has some neat features, and I like the way some of the tools and controls function, but the online support doesn't seem to be there and I don't like the UI. That makes me a little nervous.Ĭinema 4D, I think, is at the bottom of my list. Sometimes buttons wouldn't work or numeric values wouldn't take effect or seemed to change spontaneously. I was experimenting with LW this morning, trying to model a gear, and I noticed what seemed like "bugginess" in some of the controls. ![]() Still, I'd be willing to live with it if I was convinced that there were significant advantages. Yes, that's an exaggeration, but it's NOT very user-friendly. LW's UI is, to me, a bit like going back to MS-DOS. I notice that Strata, however, doesn't offer layers and it doesn't appear to offer nearly as many primitives as LW or Cinema 4D. ![]() I like the way Strata integrates with Illustrator and Photoshop. I am under the impression that Lightwave is probably significantly more powerful than Strata, but I'm not sure I would use all of that, either. I'm far more comfortable with Strata's user interface than with the other two. I think my emphasis would be product illustration.Ĭurrently I have demos for Lightwave, Cinema 4D and Strata 3D and have been experimenting with each of them.Īt this point, I have to say I'm leaning heavily toward Strata. I'm certainly NOT interested in "full blown" animation, for lack of a better description. However, I do expect to do some limited animation for informational graphics which might be published to the web. I anticipate using the modeler mostly for 'still' illustration for print, that is, without animation. I use a Power Mac G5 dual (1.8 ghz), 10.4.x OS with 3 gigs of RAM. I do have limited experience in the 3D world, from a few years back, with Macromedia's "Extreme 3D" and more recently with SketchUp, so even though I've MUCH to learn, I'm not going in totally cold, either. I'm a graphic designer/illustrator and I've decided that I need to jump into 3D modeling and I'm looking for some recommendations as to which product might suit me best. Thank you for making this available to me and to others. ![]() ![]() Data provided 'as is' without warranty and subject to error and change without notice. ![]() All content of this website is copyright © 2011-2023 Calendarpedia®. Now you should see the welcome page of Nginx on port 8080 via localhost or the IP of your local machine, via a browser of your choice. Test that its working (should see 'Welcome to nginx') sudo service nginx stop. Install nginx: sudo apt-get install nginx. If youre using just one server or localhost, you dont need this set up. The second requirement is to install Docker Compose. See how this works and how to ensure Nginx is properly sending requests to PHP-FPM. There are several Docker repositories that combine PHP-FPM with Nginx, but if you rely only on the official repositories, you are absolutely on the safe side and right way.įirst, install Docker on your machine if you haven’t already done so. I also listen on Unix sockets, or TCP sockets. We will deploy a simple PHP application using the official Docker repositories for PHP and Nginx. The following configurations works very well with my current 2 GB RAM and 1 CPU Core Linode system. This example is for newer PHP (> 5.3.3) using the included PHP FPM (FastCGI Process Manager). If you’re new to Docker, I recommend reading the numerous “What is Docker?” and “Getting Started with Docker” articles and tutorials before returning here.īecause you’re still reading, I’ll presume you’re familiar with Docker and wish to run your PHP applications in containers. ![]() ![]() ![]() Do not drive or operate machinery, or engage in dangerous tasks until you know how caffeine might affect you. ![]() ![]() Those 2007 estimates are still used for international comparisons through 2020, although the latest research on warming effects has found other values, as shown in the table above. They published these values in Annex III, and they took them from the 4th Assessment Report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, which had been published in 2007. Īfter some intermediate updates, in 2013 this standard was updated by the Warsaw meeting of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC, decision 24/CP.19) to require using a new set of 100-year GWP values. Under the Kyoto Protocol, in 1997 the Conference of the Parties standardized international reporting, by deciding (decision 2/CP.3) that the values of GWP calculated for the IPCC Second Assessment Report were to be used for converting the various greenhouse gas emissions into comparable CO 2 equivalents. This is a net reduction of 22.26 tonnes of GWP, reducing the global warming effect by a ratio of 25:2.74 (approximately 9 times). For a starting amount of 1 tonne of methane, which has a GWP of 25, after combustion there would be 2.74 tonnes of CO 2, each tonne of which has a GWP of 1. For instance, burning methane to carbon dioxide would reduce the global warming impact, but by a smaller factor than 25:1 because the mass of methane burned is less than the mass of carbon dioxide released (ratio 1:2.74). The values given in the table assume the same mass of compound is analyzed different ratios will result from the conversion of one substance to another. The total impact of all fluorinated gases is estimated at 3% of all greenhouse gas emissions. Some have high GWP but only a low concentration in the atmosphere. The IPCC lists many other substances not shown here. AR5 has skipped 500 year values but introduced GWP estimations including the climate-carbon feedback (f) with a large amount of uncertainty. Though recent reports reflect more scientific accuracy, countries and companies continue to use SAR and AR4 values for reasons of comparison in their emission reports. Earlier reports were the Second Assessment Report (1995), Third Assessment Report (2001), Fourth Assessment Report (2007) and Fifth Assessment Report (2013). The most recent report is the IPCC Sixth Assessment Report (Working Group I) from 2023. Įstimates of GWP values over 20, 100 and 500 years are periodically compiled and revised in reports from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. CO 2 emissions cause increases in atmospheric concentrations of CO 2 that will last thousands of years. It has a GWP of 1 regardless of the time period used. ![]() : 7SM-24 Values Ĭarbon dioxide is the reference. Similarly a tonne of nitrous oxide, from manure or paddy fields for example, is equivalent to 273 tonnes of carbon dioxide. Methane has GWP (over 20 years) of 81.2 meaning that, for example, a leak of a tonne of methane is equivalent to emitting 81.2 tonnes of carbon dioxide. It is calculated as GWP times mass of the other gas. Thus it provides a common scale for measuring the climate effects of different gases. For any gas, it is the mass of CO 2 that would warm the earth as much as the mass of that gas. The carbon dioxide equivalent (CO 2e or CO 2eq or CO 2-e) is calculated from GWP. For other gases it depends on how strongly the gas absorbs infrared thermal radiation, how quickly the gas leaves the atmosphere, and the time frame being considered. Global warming potential ( GWP) is a measure of how much infrared thermal radiation a greenhouse gas added to the atmosphere would absorb over a given time frame, as a multiple of the radiation that would be absorbed by the same mass of added carbon dioxide (CO 2). Potential heat absorbed by a greenhouse gas The radiative forcing (warming influence) of long-lived atmospheric greenhouse gases has accelerated, almost doubling in 40 years. ![]() ![]() ![]() Offers a simple and intuitive interface with self-explaining options making it easy for the users to operate it.ĬCleaner Slim Edition 2023 Technical Setup Details.Ability to find duplicate files and folders on your system that are taking up a lot of space and can remove them.Supports scheduled backup to clean the registry on a daily, weekly, or monthly schedule according to your own needs.Automatically backs up the system before any cleaning is performed.Lets you specify files, folders and registry keys to ignore from the cleaning process which will save you lots of time.Clearly display the current status of your PC with regards to trackers, unnecessary and redundant data, computer speed, response time and security.All-in-one application which offers everything when it comes to PC cleaning and optimization.Supports a wide range of popular browsers such as CCleaner Browser, Google Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera, Opera GX.Greatly improve system performance such as speeding up system startup and shutdown, improving system stability, system operating speed and Internet speed, and extending the lifespan of an SSD.Keep your system clean from unused files such as cookies, history, visiting sites in IE, temporary Internet files, search strings, files, Recycle Bin, etc.Highly reliable and effective application which allows you to clean unnecessary files and internet history. You can also download PC Cleaner Pro 2023 Free Download.īelow are some noticeable features which you will experience after CCleaner Slim Edition 2023 Free Download This great tool offers a simple and intuitive interface with self-explaining options making it easy for the users to operate it. Tracks such as ‘Skengman’ gaining them popularity in the streets, but the addition of a new member, LD, turned out to be their secret ingredient.īest bit: LD was one of the first driller in the UK to express his real hardships, and not just how dangerous he could be: “I don’t rap cause I’m tryna get a deal / I’m still out here tryna eat a meal”. With friends telling the group that they sounded just like Keef and his Glory Boys, 67 tried out their sedated flows. Many UK rappers were in love with Chief Keef’s minimal style, which Atlanta’s Waka pulled off expertly, and also looked up to London’s Giggs as the godfather of ‘road rap’. Giggs & Waka Flocka, ‘Lemme Get Dat’ (2012)īoth are arguably rap pioneers, and you could speculate that this collaboration was the start of drill’s crossover to the UK.
